Bowman, George 35
Currently the Secretary of The Red Wing Alumni, George is grandson of the original Scotty Bowman (1930s-1940s Red Wings). In addition to Alumni duties he is a PGA Professional.
Mio, Ed 41
A 2 time All American while at Colorado College, Eddie started his pro career in the World Hockey Association. His NHL career began in Edmonton with the Oilers. Traded to Detroit in 1983 from The New York Rangers, he ended his pro career in 1986.
Fedyk, Brent 15
He was selected by Detroit in the first round of the 1985 draft. From 1985-2000, in addition to the Red Wings, his career took him to The Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars and New York Rangers.
Kocur, Joe 26
A 4 time Stanley Cup Champion (3 with Detroit, 1 with The New York Rangers) and one of the most feared enforcers in The NHL. A Charter member of the “Grind Line” and “The Bruise Brothers”, he is currently the President of The Detroit Red Wing Alumni Association.
Ysebaert, Paul 21
Known as “Rocket Man”, Paul spent three years with Detroit, where he scored 35 goals in 1991-92, and 34 the next season. He spent 11 seasons with five NHL teams.
Newman, Dan 44
Dan is a native of Windsor, Ontario and joined the New York Rangers as a free agent in the 1976-77 season. He also played with Montreal and Edmonton.
Presley, Wayne 17
Currently the Vice President of The Red Wing Alumni. Wayne was Drafted by Chicago in 1983 and played 13 seasons in the NHL with the Blackhawks, Sabres, Rangers and Maple Leafs.
Samsonov, Sergei 14
He is a Native of Russia and a former IHL and NHL Rookie of the year. Drafted in the first round by the Boston Bruins and played for 6 different NHL organizations. He is a former member of the Turner Cup winning Detroit Vipers and a Bronze Medalist in Olympic competition.
Smolinski, Bryan 20
A Michigan State University Alum with over 1,000 career NHL games. From 1992-2010 his NHL career placed him with 8 different NHL teams.
Tamer, Chris 4
A University of Michigan Alum, Chris was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1990 where he played 6 seasons. His NHL career included the New York Rangers and Atlanta Thrashers.
Wolanin, Craig 6
A Stanley Cup Champion with Colorado and New Jersey’s first choice in the 1985 Entry Draft, Craig played five seasons with the Devil’s. His NHL career spanned 13 seasons.
