Bowman, George 35
Currently the Secretary of The Red Wing Alumni, George is grandson of the original Scotty Bowman (1930s-1940s Red Wings). In addition to Alumni duties, he has occasionally served as Detroit Red Wings practice goalie and is a PGA Professional.
Iafrate, Al 43
A Michigan native and 1st round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs, he had a record holding slapshot in the National Hockey League. A former US Olympian and a veteran of Boston, Toronto, San Jose and the Washington Capitals.
Knauft, Lorne 5
Over the course of his professional career, he has played for 8 different leagues and was a member of The Adirondack Red Wings, Flint Generals and Detroit Vipers.
Newman, Dan 44
Dan is a native of Windsor, Ontario and joined the New York Rangers as a free agent in the 1976-77 season. He also played with Montreal and Edmonton.
Oksa, Teemu 29
A native of Jyvaskyla, Finland, Teemu honed his craft in the European leagues before playing in the United States in the AAHL with the Lapeer Loggers and The Michigan Moose.
Ribble, Pat 3
Pat played in over 440 professional NHL games for five NHL teams. He also won a Bronze Medal with Team Canada in Prague in 1978.
Ross, Tom 21
A Native Detroiter, Ross was an All American from Michigan State and NCAA Division 1 all-time leading scorer. Drafted by Colorado in 1976, he later signed with Detroit and played with the Adirondack Red Wings.
Samsonov, Sergei 14
He is a Native of Russia and a former IHL and NHL Rookie of the year. Drafted in the first round by the Boston Bruins and played for 6 different NHL organizations. He is a former member of the Turner Cup winning Detroit Vipers and a Bronze Medalist in Olympic competition.
Mio, Eddie 41
A 2 time All American while at Colorado College, Eddie started his pro career in the World Hockey Association. His NHL career began in Edmonton with the Oilers. Traded to Detroit in 1983 from The New York Rangers, he ended his pro career in 1986.
Fedyk, Brent 15
He was selected by Detroit in the first round of the 1985 draft. From 1985-2000, in addition to the Red Wings, his career took him to The Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars and New York Rangers.
Klima, Peter 85
A Stanley Cup Champion with The Edmonton Oilers in 1990, he was drafted by Detroit in 1983 and in 1985,defected to the United States from Czechoslovakia to play for the Red Wings. His professional career from 1981-2001 placed him on 6 NHL squads.
Ogrodnick, John 25
He is a career 402 goal scorer. During 1984-85 season, John scored 55 regular-season goals and was named a first-team All Star. Over a 14 year career , He played eight of those years for the Red Wings, in addition to playing with The Quebec Nordiques and New York Rangers
Redmond, Mickey 20
A member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and a 2 time Stanley Cup Champion with Montreal, Mickey was also the first 50 goal scorer in Detroit Red Wing History. He is currently the broadcast analyst for the Red Wings on Fox Sports Detroit.
